I'm doing a project on creating a childrens fable for the civilo rights movement in the USA. Sort of the same thing as Animal Farm for the Russian revolution but this time its for the civil rights movement.I'm talking about the movement in banning discrimination(MLK, Montgomery Bus, Little rock nine,etc...).Anybody have clever ideas?

So in detail there was this film I used to watch as a kid and it was about these group of animal friends, one of them was a hedgehog if i remember rightly, there might be a mouse too. And they were sent off to go looking for a flower i think to heal their sick/dying badger friend? I think it was a badger, anyways the main points I remember about the film was that at one point they came across a JCB yard and they called them "Big Yellow Dragons" and also there was a "road" that they had to cross and they got chased by a hawk or an owl at night and they had to hide under a rock or log or something. The name animals of farthing wood came into my head but i looked that up and id actually never seen that before and i dont remember it being a tv series, can anyone help?
