I am looking for to buy a pine rocking chair to fit into my babies nursery. I live in Newcastle upon tyne. I have checked Ebay and all chairs for sale are collection only, and non are from this area. Any ideas of any shops who stock rocking chairs. Thanks.

I am on the hunt for a really nice and extremely comfortable Nursery Rocking Chair. I'm slightly dissapointed with the selection at Babies R Us and similar stores as well as Art Van (they only had two to look at). I need to know what brands to look for and what stores to go to to test drive these rocking chairs. What were your experiences?

I got this old wooden rocking chair from a friend and I painted it black to match the nursery decor. It has always kind of "clicked" a little when I rock in it but now it's squeaking and cracking so loud that it just annoys my daughter and I. Is there a way to fix it? I haven't tried anything yet. I don't want to ruin it. What kind of oil? Like WD-40?

Hello, I am setting up a nursery and I am getting a rocking chair. I don't like any of the rocking chair cushions I've seen and I don't want to pay for custom...unless its really worth it. If you had a rocking chair in the nursery with your baby, did you REALLY appreciate the cushions or did you go without and were fine? Thanks! Of course I know those stores sell cushions. I prefer the look of the chair without the cushions. Its just I don't know how much more important comfort it because I've never had a baby. I don't know how much time I can expect to spend in the chair. I don't know how much time it takes for a cushionless chair to become uncomfortable. Anyone have experience with this?

I got my new rocking chair for my nursery today.. and it has pockets on the side. What do you put in these pockets? I am going to exclusively breastfeed, so I won't need any bottles in there. So what are they for?

I have only stumbled across gliders which I don't like because all of them seem to develop some sort of squeak and they're more expensive. I just want a simple rocking chair and I can't seem to find one.

I was given a light blue rocking chair (that I cannot return) but I have a pink, green, and white nursery...The walls are light green and the crib set is white with light pink, magenta, light green, and white. Does anyone have an idea of how I can incorporate this blue chair? Is there a way to iron on decals maybe to make it more feminine? Any help would be appreciated! I am purchasing our nursery furniture and have always loved the thought of rocking little bub to sleep in the chair. Did you find it beneficial having a rocking chair?
