i bought kits to build adirondack chairs and i want to paint designs on them but i dont know what to paint. im not an artist so i want something easy and also if you could help with paint colors

It is for a school auction and we want to paint it white, let it dry, and then paint our kindergartener's hands and put their handprints onto it. I specifically need to know what type of white paint/primer to use and also what type of paint to do the handprints in, any other decorative touches, etc., and also how to seal it properly. It is a regular sized chair. Thanks for any help/guidance you can give. We truly appreciate it.

I just bought a new Adirondack chair that seems to be in raw Oak, non-finished. The furniture store I bought it from said I could either stain ir or paint it. How do I stain this chair? Is it as simple as goign to Lowe's or HD and buying some sand paper, stain. paint brushes..and getting this done? Am I missing something?

I want to redo my room with an Alice In Wonderland theme, but I need some ideas, Ive already thought of having Alice posters on the wall, perhaps try and paint the Cheshire cat or something but I need ideas for a bedspread (seeing as its impossible to find one with Alice on it...) Wall color, ect. Also, my room is currently beach themed so and I have an adirondack chair, so I need a new one but dont know which to get that would fit the Wonderland theme? Thanks!
